Scantuit Data Capture Software

Scantuit Data Capture Software is a front-end data capture solution for document imaging and management solutions. The Scantuit software was designed to provide all the essential features necessary for processing images and data for virtually all imaging environments. Scantuit natively supports over 400 scanners, which use Twain, ISIS, Kofax ImageControls, or VisionShape drivers. In addition it also has a file importer mode which can function either manually or automatically to Support from Visionshape multi-function devices such as printer-copier -scanners.
Scantuit is unique in the data capture industry because it has a simple user interface to access all of its functions. This includes the power to drive a scanner, capture images and text data information, use image processing and clean-up functions, apply bates numbers, access external database information and integrate with a document imaging solutions. The functionality of Scantuit is derived from the VisionShape AutoScan software, the most flexible document capture solutions available for mid to high volume applications. Scantuit provides the following features:


Image Processing.
Image Processing enhances your images to improve Barcode Recognition, Zone OCR, MICR Parsing, and overall readability. Functions can be selected from a selection menu and include de-skew, de-speckle, image registration, black border removal, white area clipping and character enhancement.

Jobcard Processing.
Jobcard Option allows you to automatically create new documents, and saves you many keystrokes. By using the batch codes provided with the software, you can place a slip-sheet with the appropriate batch codes to automatically separate and build new documents.

MICR Processing.
MICR Processing is the process of parsing the MICR line found at the bottom of checks and coupons. You will need a scanner than can read MICR lines, such as the VisionShape CS500/550T. The MICR line is parsed to capture the check number, account number, transaction number, routing number, etc.

Bates Stamping.
This feature Bates Stamps or Endorses the tiff image as the page is scanned. The Bates Stamp is an Alpha Numeric text string that you can configure. It can be any information you select to be bates stamped on each page of the document. The system can also auto increment the bates text string.

Zone OCR.
This option will allow you to create up to 7 zones on a scanned page. The data in each zone is used to automatically populate a selected LaserFiche template field(s). Using your mouse to drag a box around a zone on the page creates each zone. A zone definition file is created and saved for each form. When scanning that particular form simply load the correct zone definition file. The system can be customized to have more than 7 zones.

2D Barcode Processing.
Scantuit also Support from Visionshape 2-D PD 417 Baracodes, which is a two-dimensional code that allows users to place hundred of characters in a one square inch barcode!

PDF Generator.
Generates searchable PDF on the fly. Users can save documents as searchable PDFs instead of TIFFs. Great for converting TIFFs to PDFs!
